Thinking of Lent this Advent?

BACI’s 2012 Lent Bible study will be available in the near future. This year, the resource will be available in three formats, two electronic and one in print. PDFs of the study will be available free on this website in versions with and without the NRSV translation of the readings. For those without access to the internet, a small number of booklets without the readings will be available in the National Bible Society for € 5.00.

We encourage all lay readers and priests to organize groups for this study this lent, and to appoint “recorders” to observe and write down feedback on the group’s study. This feedback will enable the Church of Ireland to participate in the Anglican Consultative Council’s project on Anglican Biblical Hermeneutics. We hope to get feedback from the widest range of parishioners from throughout the Church of Ireland as possible. We also encourage those involved in the Methodist-Church of Ireland covenant to share their responses.

Keep an eye out for announcements in early January for the Lent course (and for the subsequent day-symposium on the Bible in the Church of Ireland).
